Sick

Been sick since Monday, starting from food poisoning to severe cough, fever & throat infection. Man, I felt so sick about all those different symptoms that I feel like creating an entirely new blog category dedicated just for it @_@.

Somehow I managed to tough it up until Thursday and I finally got to a point where I think I would end up in the hospital if I don’t take a day off to rest.

So immediately after class I went to see the doctor. It was around 10.20pm.

Blarrrdy hell !!! There’s NOT ONE clinic that opens 24 hrs in my housing area. How pethetic is that? So you mean I have to wait until the next morning then only die issit? There should be a law against this, dammit!

So I had to drive all the way to Taman Kepong to see to a doctor. And then I had to put up with some of the slowest-working nurse I’ve ever seen.

It was around 10.30pm then, so obviously there’s no one else except me. It took them a full 10 minutes to find a pen, find my record card, find the doctor, walk around, dissapear, who knows what else?

I mean come on, somebody’s dying here!! Just find my card, and let me see the doctor!! It should have taken less than 3 minutes.

Finally I got my meds, and late hour rate for my consultation fees, and dragged my ass home.

At the end of the day, I have 6 types of pills and 1 cough syrup, and it costs me RM80 in total T_T …

Managed to get a good rest today, and feeling much better. Special thanks to my mom for making sure I’m well fed with porridge.

My dinner tonight … Meat and potato porridge !!

Thank you mom !!

Moral of the story is,

Food Poisoning = Diarrhea + Vomiting
=> Throat Infection + Cough + Fever
=> 6 Pills + 1 Syrup
=> RM80

*sigh* …..

Trip To PJ Digital Mall

It all started like any other day, boring day, where I’ve just finished my class and was driving home from my school. Suddenly while waiting for traffic light at the big intersection at Jalan Ampang, the stupid commercial of Digital Mall popped up in my mind (the one where the security guard danced like rock star).

Now, being a geek that I am, I couldn’t forgive myself for not even visiting the 2nd lowyat plaza in town, and I don’t even need to drive all the way to town (from my house, I know I was already in town … smartass). So I called up a friend of mine, and ask for directions to go there. After 30 mins, there I was – Digital Mall @ PJ Section 14.

Actually all that crap about me having to go there was just an excuse for me to spend some money that I have too much in my bank (NOT !!) I wanted to buy an MP3 player for quite some time now ever since I lost my Wewa MP3 Player a long time ago.

Wewa WMP-317+ 256 MB MP3 Player

So, there I was walking aimlessly. Checking out hot sales and hot chicks. And I am really impress by the variety of gadgets they have in Digital Mall. From handphones to pda, thumbdrive to external hardisks, pirated and non-pirated DVDs, and even Encyclopedias!! And then I stumbled upon this ~

Philips GoGear SA 1355 1GB

It was on promotion was selling at RM199. While I was looking at the specs, then come this cute sales promoter. Man, she’s one of the cutest promoters working there, and then my heart “was skip a beat”. I think I had a crush on her … which explains why I gave in and bought the mp3 player from her at the end … hahaha !!

Don’t roll your eyes yet because there’s ample scientific proofs that sex cues ruin men’s decisiveness. So that only proves that there’s a 100% of pure manliness within me :)

But I can’t deny that it was quite a good deal for me. Check out the full specs here. Apart from the variety of functions and the reliability of the brand, the super sleak black and metal look just makes it that much cooler.

Some of the highlights of this piece of gadget is that it has 10 hrs of continues playing capability, FM/Mic voice recording, internal rechargable battery which uses the same USB port, 1GB storage, and most important of all I think it’s a value for money buy.

Some other MP3 players around that price range might be of betters specs, but most of them are China branded. Not that Philips products are not made in China, but I had a Philips headset for more than 4 years now and it still sound pretty decent after all those full volumn blasting. So, I think it all comes down to who is handling the quality control of the products.

All right, here are some photos of my new baby …

*sniff sniff* Mmmm …. Don’t you love the smell of fresh gadget just out of the package.

Okay now, time to access the damage to my wallet.

MP3 Player : RM199
MP3 FM Modulator so that I can play the songs in my car : RM65
MP3 Player Pouch to prevent scratches : RM 23
Notebook Coolpad I stumbled upon after my “decisiveness” ruined by cute promoter : RM30

Satisfaction of not having to listen to the radio anymore while driving : Priceless

Moji

I feel like I’ve wasted 3 hours of my life (including writing this post), which I’m never going to get it back, on something totally retarded and useless.

After reading a post on NicoleKiss’s website about the new IM called Moji from TM net, I decided to use the opportunity to approach her check out the technology behind this virtual pet thingy.

Apparently, the term IM is actually referring to Intelligent Messenger, as to Instant Messenger according to MOR(F) Dynamics. According to them, Moji is the world’s first real-time 3D instant messenger, where users create and customize 3D pets and characters that can understand natural human language and therefore can chat, interact and react with users in real time (read more here if you need to fall asleep).

So, being a geek that I am, I got excited and wanted to see how many bugs I can find how it works. So, there I was, downloading the installer (85,395KB) from their website, and got Mojikan installed on my PC. And walla … Moji !!

It will catch butterfly.

It will answer if you talk to him.

untitled-3.jpg

It will gather fruits.

And it will die …

Dying …

Dead …

(I need to create a new yellow Moji coz I already killed the red one)

Look ma~!! I just found a new way to torture and kill cute animals with 4 ears by starving them to death!!

Apparently you need to buy Sparx, which are food to your Moji. And you guessed it right, you need to PAY to buy them. And you buy them with MK.

untitled-8.jpg

You’ll get some free Sparx for starters. But after that you need to pay for it.

So sooner or later, you will hear people applying for credit cards and say “Oh.. I need to buy Sparx to feed my Moji. Oh, my Moji is so cute. I need to get a credit card and suck TMnet’s dick …”

Kotoko~!!

My friend Kai Jun seems to be obsessed with this J-POP gal and keeps on ranting about it. So I decided to check it out myself …

Guess what? I’m hooked! On one song …

KOTOKO – Re-Sublimity

I had to admit … this song just ROCKS!

Its like Eurobeat (Initial D type music) + Trance + Japanese Chick + Swing Arms Profusely (Kai Jun calls it New Age). I really can’t ask for more.

She looks a bit like 赵薇 (Vicky Zhao) though in some scenes in the MTV.

EDIT

Apparently the gal that looks like Vicky Zhao is not Kotoko … sorry my mistake …

My Reason For

Not going to class today also … is because

I have to listen to 1.30 hours of recordings and write a script out of that … I’m now at my 4th hour doing this. Expecting another 4 hours

My Reason For

Not going to class today … is because

I’m having a wedding (no pun intended)
